 2. Slide 4 - Mammals

• Pick 4 mammals
• Post the pictures and label them
• (bonus) Label them by their scientific names (Genus species for example the Killer Whale is Oricinus orca)

3. Check out the new Animal of the day (not a mammal!)

DL Lesson Slide 3 Mon 3/30

1. Watch instructional video below.

1.5 Open the periodic table app and explore the elements and see which ones you might be able to find in your home.

2. Add Slide #3 on your PowerPoint and give it the title "Elements in my Home"

3. Take some pictures of elements found in your home (remember from the video above)

4. Post the pictures of the items you found in your home with the periodic element symbol posted below the picture.

5. Time to share your work:

6. At the top of your PowerPoint press the share button.

7. Share your PowerPoint with my email - rhollinger@ows.org

8. Check out the two videos below. The first one is a great certification from Milla F on the panther chameleon. The second video is the Animal of the Day.

DL Lesson Two - Slide #2

1. Watch the instructional video below.

2. Title your second slide - Rocks Review

3. Go find 2-4 cool rocks just outside of your house.

4. Take pictures of the rocks OR do a 30 second video where you say what they are.

5. Post pictures or video on your second slide titled "Rocks Review."

6. Try your best to identify the rock species. If it different from my examples and you don't know what it is, just use the word "unknown."

7. Bonus : Label the rocks again with one of these words : metamorphic, igneous, sedimentary.

3. Using the back arrow, make sure you save it with the title "(your name) Science 2 DL ----> for example "Seahawk Science 2 DL"

4. Decorate the first slide with some cool science pictures.
